Without refinancing a home, what’s the best way consolidate and pay off credit card debt?

I consolidated my student loans a couple years ago and got them to a fixed interest rate. I didn’t know what I was doing–I was young and no one explained to me what was going on. Now that I’m a little older, I know that my interest rate is not the best that it could be. I’d like to refinance, but I don’t know if it’s possible since I have already consolidated. Please help! Thank you!

I have moderate to good credit standing and have been making notes on a 06 Taurus for about two years. I was offered refinancing through Well Fargo.

Is gap coverage that I purchased through Ford Credit transferable?

Is Wells Fargo a reliable option?

Would having a car upside down on value make me a risk – i.e. is this just one of those mass mailings?

The house is only 10k. So if I pay 10k cash, how fast can I do a home equity loan for that 10k? I need to make repairs as it is a foreclosure in poor condition. Can I do a refinance loan and get more than I even paid for it if it appraises higher than 10k, which it will? Thanks for any help

I have a mortgage at 9.75, house value is 244,000. loan amount is 183,000. i need to refinance but my credit score is 454. i can not find a lender to take me. do u know any lender who can help.

I have a chapter 7 discharged 7 years ago. I don’t want to be filling out offers for credit cards that are hopeless, I also think our credit is better than rock bottom as we have a car pmt thru the credit union and have refinanced our home twice in the past 7 years. We have not been late on a house payment in at the very least 10 years. And never on our car payment.

What banks have you worked with or know that give good rates? I’ve owned the car for 3 years and never have missed a payment. Thanks.

Existing mortgage: 80-20. No equity. 1 year since purchase. 2nd loan home equity line of credit has variable APR. Please share ideas to refinance 2nd loan and also consolidate other loan.

I try the gov. plan to help trouble home owners but they told me they couldn’t because it’s a conventinal loan. I didn’t know that only FHA loan . My exhusband helps me but still not enough.
What can I do.

We have a friend that told us just the other day that her and her husband are drowning in credit card debt. He earns a good living and they are both super cool people. But she said they pay $2500 – $3000 a month in credit card payments and have over $100,000 in balances. I honestly couldn’t believe it.

My first suggestion was to consider bankruptcy, but she was 100% against it. I also heard about debt consolidation clinics. But they advise you NOT to pay your debts for months at a time, then negotiate a lower settlement so that the credit card companies can avoid writing you off as a loss. But this ROYALLY screws up your credit as you can imagine!

This situation got me and my wife thinking, as we have our fair share of credit card debt as well. So besides refinancing your house for the 5th time in 5 years, borrowing money from Aunt Edna, or making minimum payments for 60 years, what is the best way to get out of credit card debt???

i have a less than favorable interest rate on my car loan due to poor credit and bad habits. I am considering refinancing my car loan, but i am wondering how many months do i have to pay consistanly on time in order to have a positive impact on my credit and therefore, get the best rate that i can get?
