I need to refinance my mortgage very soon. For the past 6 or so plus months my mail has been flooded daily with offers from various mortgage brokers or lenders offering me a deal of a lifetime. Many say they are offering me refinancing at no cost to me. This sounds a bit fishy, I doubt anyone is willing to help me at no costs. Is there any truths to these offers? I don’t want to waste time contacting these companies and filling out applications if they are not true. Any thoughts? Thanks !

I just bought a home last October. I signed a single 30 year mortgage for 280,000. My interest rate is 6.75%. I have only made 3 payments on this mortgage. With interest rates dropping when is a good time to refinance?

I have a high interest rate mortgage, but I am current on it. I owe about 90% of the value. Since the gov’t is offering a mortgage refinance plan to lower the rates, maybe I should not make payments for 90 days?

Our current mortgage needs to be refinanced no matter what we decide to do, but we are considering using the home we live in as a rental and buying another house to live in. Our mortgage now requires that we live in the home. How difficult is it to refinance as a rental property? Our credit is good. Has anyone out there done this?

I would have around $30,000 to use. I have many credit card and hospital bills, and would also like to pay off my truck. All that together totals to around $20,000. Any suggestions?

I started buying my home a year ago and I didn’t have credit then so I bought an owner financed home that had 12% percent fixed loan, which is why I want to refinance. My credit score is 718 but I have very little credit activity because I have never had a credit card or anything, I usually just pay cash instead of making payments. Will I be able to refinance?

I need to refinance my second/investment home in Milpitas California and I’m looking for a mortgage broker or a bank that offers lowest interest rate based on 700 or more fico score. Preferably a loan program with minimum monthly payment is preferred.

Recently, I was talking to a mortgage consultant at a bank. She told me that she would recommend just refinancing for what I owe. She would NOT recommend taking out any extra money. She didn’t explain her reasoning for this. Out of the 3 mortgage people that I have talked to she is the only one who has said this. Why would she tell us this?

we have tried twice to refinance our house through a bank in order to get caught back up on the mortgage payments that we are behind and to do some home repairs, etc however we keep being told no because we are in fact behind several house payments. Is there anyone out there who will refinance you in a situation such as this?

My dad just recently seen a 20,000 increase to the house mortgage. Does Refinancing the house or filing bankruptcy make your mortgage payment go up?

I have a mortgage & home equity line of credit with the same lender. The rate on the equity loan is currently 2.5% (prime – 3/4). I was thinking of refinancing my mortgage and taking out a little cash to pay off some credit cards. My question is, if I refinance my mortgage do I have to pay off the balance on my home equity loan?

Are the refinancing fees due at the time of closing or do banks typically allow you to roll them into the loan. What’s the best rate out there for refinancing my house?
